
Has over 35 years of martial arts experience and is also a Sifu in Northern Shaolin. Jessie Escobedo started his martial arts training in Chinese Kenpo Kung Fu under Sibok Odie Molina in San Antonio, Texas while being station at Kelly Air Force Base. While station in Hawaii, he started his training in KEMPO karate under Johnathan Vance, who was under Martin Buell.
After leaving Hawaii, he started his training in Northern Shaolin Longfist under Robert Hartfield in Dallas, Texas. While moving to Arlington, Texas, he began his training in Ed Parker's Kenpo karate, but later went back to studying Northern Shaolin under Sifu Joseph Chang from Taipei, Taiwan.
After leaving Arlington, Texas, Sifu Chang gave Jessie Escobedo permission to teach Northern Shaolin. During this time frame he began his studies in KAJUKEMBO under the late Grand Master Richard Peralta. Jessie Escobedo is now under the direction of Grand Master Angel Garcia Soldado from Valencia, Spain.
On September 10, 2005, Jessie Escobedo was promoted by Sijo Adriano Emperado, GM Angel Garcia Soldado, and GM Dechi Emperado to the rank of 7th degree black belt.
On January 5, 2010, Jessie Escobedo was promoted by GM Angel Garcia Soldado to the rank of 8th degree black belt with the title of Professor.
